VIDEO CONTEST
I GORGONITAS SKIM BEST VIDEO, 2010
1. Context:
Gorgonitas skim, Shifty Freestyle shop and Alea skim t-shirts have joined to set up a skimboard videos contest, open for all those who want to take part and with prizes that we hope you enjoy, in order to continue helping to the healthy growth of the national skimboard.
2. PRIZES:
Winner: 1 skimboard board with the grips (tail pad and arch bar) provided por Shifty Freestyle Shop, 1 Alea skim t-shirt and vinyl stickers (valued at over 300€).
Second Place: Wateproof bag for neoprene, 1 Alea skim t-shirt and vinyl stickers (valued at approximately 150€).
Tercer clasificado: Grips pack (tail pad and arch bar), 1 Alea skim t-shirt and vinyl stickers (valued at approximately 300€).
3. Schedule:
The contest begins on June 4, 2010 and ends at 22.00H on June 15, 2010.
4. Considerations:
- The videos must be between 1 and 2 minutes long.
- It’s not necessary that the director and editor of the video takes part or stars in it, but the jury can keep this aspect in mind and value it in the final votes.
- Just 1 video per contestant is allowed.
- It’s compulsory to include in the videos any reference or wink to the organizers of the contest in the way the author prefers. This way could be, for example, to film a t-shirt or a sticker or to paint a logo anywhere.
- Videos will be judged based on the balance between the quality of the image/edition and the quality of the leading skimmer (or skimmers), which favors that many different level simmers and editors could submit this contest.
- The jury will reward with extra points ingenuity, innovation and elegance in the videos.
- Different video formats and qualities are accepted. Both panoramic or 4:3, and colour or black and white.
5. Jury:
The jury will be composed por 3 Membros:
- Joan Massa Lario. Shifty Freestyle shop responsible (very important shop for the national skimboard).
- Sergio Gil ‘Shein’. Gorgonitas skim responsible.
- Miles Grobman. Prorider world-famous of Victoria Skimboards.
6. Contestants:
Each participant may submit up his video via megaupload.com or provide a direct link to the video, uploaded in any web that allows its reproduction (vimeo.com or youtube.com, for example), and send this information to gorgonitasskim@hotmail.com
They must also include in the e-mail the following information:
- Name and surname of the contestant.
- Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy).
- Adress.
- E-mail adress.
*This information won’t be included in any database and will be deleted when the contest finishes.
7. Doubts:
Any question or doubt sent to gorgonitasskim@hotmail.com wil be solved.
8. Penalties and reserve of rights:
The contest holders and the jury reserve the right to exclude any video if they detect irregularities during the process of voting.
They could also demand the personal information (if it’s not included) and its authentication, if necessary.
The contestant declares and guarantees ‘Gorgonitas skim’ as the holder, together with the author, of all the rights on the video submited to the contest.
The participation in the contest carries to the contestants the transfer of their data and also the assignment to Gorgonitas the right to display, distribute or reporte publicly the videos submited.
All this videos will be posted together in the ‘Gorgonitas skim’ account of the video web portal and in our blogsite.
Furthermore, the videos could be posted in other websites, blogs or forums related to the organizers and to the spanish skimboard.
